Spray on tan

This post will give you a couple of insights regarding the spray on tan usage, its advantages and disadvantages, its pros and cons.

The sunless tanning alternative is one of the safest choices you can make when considering the general tanning process. The main advantages would be the fact that unlike natural sunlight, the so called fake tan acquired using spray tanning products would elude the risks of getting skin cancer, sagging skin or premature wrinkles. In essence, you are able to get a better tan on your body by controlling the whole process while, at the same time, not taking unnecessary risks. I would resume this simple as spray tanning is tanning without the sun and tanning with health benefits.

What’s event better is the fact that is actually cheaper. Of course we would all prefer, from time to time, to enjoy a nice vacation on the sea side but let’s face it, in world where time is more and more on the essence we do not always have the necessary means to do this. Therefore, for a couple of bucks and a trip to the drugstore, we can enjoy the same effects of a natural sunlight without any health risks and with a greater degree of control on the whole tanning process.

There a two ways of doing this: either you buy a subscription to good indoor tanning salon where you settle the needs and means for a base tan on which you can start maintain later on at home, or you could simply start investigating and taking matters on your own hands at home directly.

It is preferable to go to a indoor tanning salon first, if you are a rookie in this domain because I think I would be useful to benefit from the advices of the salon’s personnel. This way you could acquire the necessary information that would allow you to pick later on the tanning spray that you need and that best serve your skin’s interests.

If you start the tanning process at home, you would need to buy some products, test them and decide on the matter yourself, choosing the one that best suits your individual body features.

Before starting the spray on tan process you should take some necessary steps, first. It is very important to shave, exfoliate and moisturize your whole body prior to beginning the tanning process. The exfoliation step is very important because it removes the already dead cells on the outer layer of your skin. If you apply the tanner on them, they will soon be naturally fall and the exotic look on your body would fade away. So it would be better to apply the tanning product on healthy cells that will ensure a longer lasting existence of your tan.

The moisturizer is also a key element in this affair. A dried skin will tan worst than a moist skin, also this will prevent wrinkles to show up and ruin your act.

Another thing to be remembered is that after you have applied the spray tan, you should be taking a shower for a couple of hours because the tanning process will continue even after you have finished the process. It is safe to wash after 5 hours but remember not to take a dive into salty water because this will affect, again, the lasting feature of your tan.

So how do spray tans work? Well, the active ingredient behind the whole scheme is the compound called DHA which acts into changing the skin tone from light to a more darker pale, this way enabling the desired perfect tan.
